Honestly, I was never much of a writer. I do write occasionally but I draw most of the time. I totally understand that feeling of embarrassment. There are many times were I'm not proud of a certain piece and I just want to discard it. My family members support me and say that am extremely talented for my age but I usually draw for the hell of it. I always look to improve my art skill and it's so frustrating when people around keep picking on it. For example, drawing naked people is anatomy practice for an artist while for someone else who doesn't draw, it's weird and perverted. Of course, I'm not drawing naked people at school, like hell I would. But it's irritating to be constantly saying "don't touch my sketchbook!"
Thank you so much. I really appreciate the comment. It's comforting to know that there are friends who get where I'm coming from.
like that's bulls**t T-T
If I were to give you any tips to prevent people from doing that, I'd say you could try, idk, covering the stuff you already have drawn with a piece of paper? Honestly, I'm not sure how I'd deal with that kind of thing...
That school sounds like hell if you ask me.
It's best if I just draw at home. Even my mom says that "art is for my own satisfaction and i shouldn't draw things i don't want to draw for others"
Just don't let that bring you down. Sometimes, a little bit of venting is all an agitated mind needs to settle down once again.
I -for one- am very happy you are a part of the community and I love looking at your art, even if it's not always about Disney. Your ideas never cease to mesmerize me and your general style is just so, so gorgeous.
I'm very happy I have my watchers. Seriously. Deviantart is a weird site and I don't like most of it but there are things that I love about this site and this is one of them.
fucking assholes, like why???? they dont even do that to me, ill just obscure my thing from view and if they see me drawing and ask me to see, i'll just hide it and usually say no.
if they tried to take it from me i would fucking murder them, like, i always use sharp pencils, so uh
Don't let them though! And if you have to leave your sketchbook at home, do it.
If you still want to draw though, i recommend drawing on a sheet of paper leaned inside like a book or something, and have weaponry like a sharp pencil and/or killer nails to defend yourself
last resort is flipping them off
if i could i would go over there and fi g h t t he m
i should do that
aaaaaa c h i l d

dude when ever i hear the words candle or clock i smile like an idiot it jUST AAAAAA-
"Are you depressed?"
"Is that vent art?"
"Is that a boy or a girl?" (Yeah mostly I put my characters as androgynous)
"Can't you draw something happy?"
"No one will accept you as an artist if you just draw edgy shit"
"What is up with you and gore? There is more than black and white"
Like jfc I draw what I want even if it makes no sense whats so ever
At school I've even gotten in trouble for drawing since the school deemed by drawings as me showing I am "Depressed" or I am wanting to "Kill myself" like god. I draw happy stuff, but just adding a little blood makes me look like a future murderer?
My god stereotypes need to stop NOW.
i usually draw cute shit or whatever but i hate it when people do that to any artist
When you do it with Disney then people explode. Like geez not every fandom can be hidden from gore.
